cold winds are here

Gals ,we all take enough care in summers about our skins but winters are also not that merciful on our skins and hair. Here I'm sharing essentials of winter skin care with you , hope u also find it fruitful

You are probably aware of the importance of protecting your skin from the summer sun. But what you might not know that it is equally important to take care of your skin in the winter. The dry air and harsh wind of winter can cause skin to crack, chap and become irritated – making it even more susceptible to the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays. Duke University Health System and Skin Care Physicians offer these tips for minimizing winter skin problems:

Treating Winter Skin:If the winter weather is taking a toll on your skin and lips, don’t give up hope yet! There is a market full of moisturizers and other products you can use to treat dry, chapped, flaky and scaly skin and lips. Don’t know where to start? Here are a few products you can use to help relieve your winter skin:

And now for you lovely hair , colds winds makes your hair dry and prone to breakage and leads to loss in its shine ,volume and length. So get ready for you hair care:

Step1:

Condition your hair every time you wash it. If your hair is dry, use a rich conditioner. If your hair is oily, you should choose a lighter conditioner or apply only on the length of the hair, avoiding the scalp area.

Step2:

Deep condition your hair every week. This is done by purchasing a special hair conditioning packet which can be found at most department stores or drug stores. The packet holds enough conditioner for one application. Wash your hair as you normally would. Then apply the condition all over your hair (avoiding the scalp area if you have oily hair). Wrap a towel around your hair or place a shower cap on your head, covering your entire hair length. Allow the conditioner to set on your hair for five to ten minutes. Rinse with cool water.

Step3:

Cover your hair when it is extremely cold outside or when the wind is blowing. You can do this easily by wearing a hat, cap or scarf.

Step4:

Avoid washing your hair more often theen needed. Frequent hair washing can cause the scalp to loose moisture that it needs, especially in the winter months.

Step5:

Use lukewarm or cool water when washing your hair. Hot water can cause damage to the hair
